Each is humorous, (especially the second which was hilarious and my favorite), and each had its own personality based on the main characters' individual traits. The characters were endearing, quirky, realistic, and refreshing. The setting was clear to imagine and was a character all its own. All of the stories maintained a down-to-earth, southern tanginess that was enjoyable. It felt very "hometown in the south" with a lot of sassy sweetness throughout.It was interesting how the authors were able to blend young and older protagonists so they weren't just for "young" or "mature" readers, but for both.The third, and last, story was cute but felt like it lacked something in comparison to the other two stories. The first story lead into the second story. The second story lead into the third, rapping up the "whatever happened next" moments, while the third story seemed to end without the same satisfaction of knowing details of what happened to the characters. It distracted me, and left me feeling a little at a loss. Even so, I liked all of the stories, and I laughed a lot. That is worth it to me.

By Joyful These novellas were located in a small Mississippi town where everyone knew everyone and everything about you. These southern belles are of an older generation. Who says you can become too older to fall in love? Each novella has its own twist with lots of fun. Quick fun reads. Characters are love able and they show up in each novella because they are good. Friends. I recommend these reads. You will enjoy them and the author's style of writing. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

By Delores Liesner A fun read and some Biloxi sunshine take away the long-enough-winter blues and show that love can come at any age. Each dose of life's conflicts and tears, including romantic and family relationships, are dealt with through realistic and often humorous characters. All three stories are gems though one was my favorite. That means I will eep an eye out for future works of these authors and will be keeping the novella to re-read again when I need a lift in a busy schedule.

Riding her first mule and owning her first horse fueled her interest in the West. The roots of “Six Women West” can also be found in the author’s strong interest in Western movies. She and her husband spent 4 years walking across the US 1985. Along the way they also walked the Oregon Trail and the knowledge from this journey is central to “Six Women West”. They also visited historical sites including plantation houses and slave quarters. With encouragement from fellow writers, she began writing the novel that kept running through her mind. "Six Women West" will be the first in a series of books that follows the unfolding of the lives of 6 fascinating, engaging and courageous women. Today, Wanda and her husband periodically travel to the Oregon coast.

I hated to see the story coming to an end. Highly recommend for history content.Each of the characters has a story about how they came to go west. The book showed us how impossible a woman alone during the Civil Wars survival was. But six women together could survive.Are there other books coming from Wanda Reed?

Haven't come across a book this good in a long time!I've often read reviews that stated that they felt they were "there" in the book...now I know what they meant! I loved this book! The characters were very well developed, and I love historical fiction, and cannot imagine crossing the country in a covered wagon, with all the trials and tribulations they faced on a daily basis. Also, the part of the story that had women going hunting on horseback was great. I guess I would starve if I had to hunt in order to eat. All the women were brave, and strong, but with a wonderful vulnerability and resourcefulness as well. If you love this genre, I highly recommend!

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Should have been longer, but over all a good story. By Kindle Customer Full disclosure: I did not read the first four books in this series. However, that did not impact my enjoyment or understanding of this book. Even though the books are part of the same world, they clearly follow other characters, who are only mentioned in this novel. It was not a hindrance to have no background of Ross and Ziethman’s world. Chieftain Goth is present, and his son Ian is mentioned, but the author does a good job of relating past events to the reader so it’s not necessary to read the books in order.As for the story itself, I really did enjoy it. It’s not about shifters, per se, but dragons with the ability to turn into humans. Ross goes on a mission to protect his sister, Skena, from being married off for their clan’s benefit, and runs into the territory of the dragons. And, of course, he meets Ziethman right away.The dialogue is heavily accented with a Scottish brogue, at least on Ross’s side, but I didn’t find it distracting. For me, the most distracting part was Ziethman’s penchant for calling Ross the “sexy human asda.” I’m not sure why, but the use of the word sexy just didn’t mesh well with the rest of the dialect chosen.The book, I found, was also far too short. I would have enjoyed a lot more. I was expecting Chieftain Goth to show up at the very end, but he did not. If the book had been another thirty pages longer, it would have been that much stronger. I want to know how everything works out for Ross, Ziethman, and Ross’s family as they try to integrate into dragon lands.That said, would I go back and read the first four book in the series? Yes. Would I read a sequel to this? Absolutely. My hope is that all of these smaller books are leading up to serious battle between the dragons and Goth.

A promise to protect them is put to the test when Chieftain Goth insists on sending her to another clan as a bride price. If Ross can find a way into a hidden valley Goth will give Skena her freedom.Scrambling up the mountainside Ross is stopped by a stranger and gets his first glimpse of dragon kind. Caught between a rock and a hard place the highlander is frantic to save his sister, yet for the first time he’s consumed with lust for a male, the dragon Ziethman. Helping Ross is the only way the dragon can have his heart’s desire, the highlander. Together they resolve to save the McCord family from the machinations of a wily chieftain’s evil plans for war.The Highland Dragons triumph again in For a Dragon’s Redemption. Ross is truly stuck. Obeying his chieftain is simple, falling for a male not so much. The honest highlander is the perfect match for a curious, mischievous dragon. An excellent twist sweetens For a Dragon’s Redemption as well. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Short and Sweet By A.B. I do enjoy so enjoy reading Ms. Richards' books. This series, the dragons, is no exception. Although very short in comparison to some of her other series, they always come packed with good bits of information. We are informed about what each dragon caste means for the clan, their rules and bonding information. It doesn't feel like we are short changed on information, but the connection of the main dragon and his asda suffers instead. I would love to give a 4 star or better rating, but because the relationships we get in these books are always; meet, sex, partial bond, a fight, a small explanation, then completing the bond...and BOOM. Insta-love. It just doesn't feel right to give it more than 3 stars. If the story were even just a couple of chapters longer to give the two MC's a little more plot then it would be such a fantastic read. Having said that, it is still informative and very interesting in what we do get. I will continue to read this series if Ms. Richards decides to keep writing them, maybe just maybe she will read a review or two and decide to take a little more time on Relationship plot and development.

I have a limited income and every penny counts! This "series" is actually only one novel, it's sad and greedy of the publishers to do this to the great storytellers, and all of us fans. This sort of thing makes me feel cheated and I also tend to avoid the authors who's books are excellent stories and really good reads, which is a great loss all the way around! And I had looked for a bundle, but couldn't find one until after I had already bought two of the novellas. I thoroughly enjoyed your writing and characters Lily!
