Our homeschool style has been described as "relaxed," "eclectic," and "unschoolish," to name a few. I was seeking a little more direction for my kids' interest-lead reading and these journals have been exactly what I've been looking for for the last 3 years! There are LOTS of repeats, but because they choose their books based on their interests, they don't seem to mind. It is suggested to do 8-10 pages a day (until the child reaches the next "date" page), but I have my kids do 3-4 pages. The reason I rated the book 4 stars instead of 5 is because even though the book is very thick (300+ pages), I think it's a bit pricey for how much it is/how many repeated pages there are. Even so, I would purchase again if they continue to hold my kids' interest as they have.

By Momtographer [[VIDEOID:a636a912738e09a17a729281977bbe24]] This, I have been told, is a good step up from the young journals because it has less writing than some of the older kid journals. It certainly is one of my favorite journals and I am looking forward to using it with my son in the fall. You can see the inside of it in my video. I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I honestly love it and we will be using it. I have seen the inside of many of these and this one is a favorite.

Pope My daughter has been using this one for a couple of months now and is doing well with it. We are finishing up the school year with most of the stuff that we had already purchased, but will be making the switch to complete fun-schooling next year. This book allows her to journal her way through her own interests and really keeps her mind engaged. This is a great way for creative children to learn. Love it!

Mary Doria Russell, the bestselling, award-winning author of The Sparrow, returns with Epitaph. An American Iliad, this richly detailed and meticulously researched historical novel continues the story she began in Doc, following Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday to Tombstone, Arizona, and to the gunfight at the O.K. Corral.

A deeply divided nation. Vicious politics. A shamelessly partisan media. A president loathed by half the populace. Smuggling and gang warfare along the Mexican border. Armed citizens willing to stand their ground and take law into their own hands. . . .

That was America in 1881.

All those forces came to bear on the afternoon of October 26 when Doc Holliday and the Earp brothers faced off against the Clantons and the McLaurys in Tombstone, Arizona. It should have been a simple misdemeanor arrest. Thirty seconds and thirty bullets later, three officers were wounded and three citizens lay dead in the dirt.

Wyatt Earp was the last man standing, the only one unscathed. The lies began before the smoke cleared, but the gunfight at the O.K. Corral would soon become central to American beliefs about the Old West.

Epitaph tells Wyatt’s real story, unearthing the Homeric tragedy buried under 130 years of mythology, misrepresentation, and sheer indifference to fact. Epic and intimate, this novel gives voice to the real men and women whose lives were changed forever by those fatal thirty seconds in Tombstone. At its heart is the woman behind the myth: Josephine Sarah Marcus, who loved Wyatt Earp for forty-nine years and who carefully chipped away at the truth until she had crafted the heroic legend that would become the epitaph her husband deserved.

Epitaph: A Novel of the O.K. Corral, by Mary Doria Russell

Review “A magnificent sequel to Doc that represents a significant advance in her considerable narrative technique… Adroitly shifting points of view throughout, Russell assembles her cast in Tombstone, where her prodigious historical research illuminates the personalities and politics that propelled the combatants toward that corral.” (Cleveland Plain Dealer)Despite all that has been written and filmed about Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp, Russell’s pointedly anti-epic anti-romance is so epic and romantic that it whets the reader’s appetite for more.” (Kirkus Reviews)“Well-written and provocative, Doc is a book that will haunt you.” (Historical Novels Review)“Russell shows how the gunfight at the OK Corral is not the end of a hero’s tale but just 30 terrible seconds in a decades-long, nationwide struggle to evolve out of ignorance into enlightenment.” (Library Journal (starred review))“Epitaph peels back all the layers of the events leading up to and following America’s most storied gunfight, in a compelling, richly told narrative with complex characters, sharp context - and a number of parallels to today…a fully realized landscape with nuanced characters.” (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)“Russell breathes new life into the well-worn western saga of the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday’s infamous shoot-out in the Arizona Territory town of Tombstone… a raucously Hogarthian depiction of how the West was truly lived.” (Publishers Weekly)“With vast amounts of research and a poetic prose line … Russell has crafted an epic tale … a stunning performance.” (Washington Post)Her writing is so vivid it seems she must have been there. … As Russell says, it matters where a tale begins and ends and “who tells the story and why … That makes all the difference.” Russell has made a big difference in bringing this story to life again. (Seattle Times)Russell catalogs [the action] with power and beauty and a calculating eye until, as a reader, …understand something primal about the making of famous moments: That the causes are never as simple as you want, and outcomes never as clean or clear.” (NPR Books)“Mary Doria Russell has lifted the participants in the frontier’s most famous gunfight out of the realm of genre fiction and catapulted them into the realm of literature.” (Dallas Morning News)“An epic retelling of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral that sets the 30-second battle within the broader context of the times.” (Washington Post, Notable fiction books of 2015)“This novel tells the story of Wyatt and Sadie Earp from beginning to end, not stopping at the famous gunfight and its aftermath but following the couple to the end of their lives, inevitably shaped by that 1881 blaze of gunfire in Tombstone, Arizona Territory.” (Seattle Times, Critics Best Books of 2015)“Whatever it is you think you know about the gunfight at the OK Corral, however it is you think you feel about it, forget it all... Mary Doria Russell has 600 pages to burn a fresh understanding into you, and she uses every one of them.” (NPR, Best Books of 2015)

From the Back Cover

A richly detailed novel of the infamous gunfight at the O.K. Corral and the making of the mythology that surrounds it to this day

A deeply divided nation. Vicious politics. A shamelessly partisan media. A president scorned by half the populace. Smuggling and gang warfare along the Mexican border. Armed citizens willing to stand their ground and take law into their own hands. . . . That was America in 1881.

All those forces came to bear on October 26 when Doc Holliday and the Earp brothers faced off against the Clantons and the McLaurys in Tombstone, Arizona. Wyatt Earp was the only one unscathed. The lies began before the smoke cleared, but the gunfight at the O.K. Corral would soon become central to American beliefs about the Old West.

Mary Doria Russell has unearthed the Homeric tragedy buried beneath 130 years of mythology, misrepresentation, and sheer indifference to fact. Epic and intimate, Epitaph gives voice to the real men and women whose lives were changed forever by those fatal thirty seconds. And at its heart is the woman behind the myth: Josephine Sarah Marcus, who loved Wyatt Earp for almost half a century and who carefully chipped away at the truth until she had crafted the heroic legend that would become the epitaph she believed her husband deserved.

“In depth, scope and nuance, Mary Doria Russell’s Epitaph is the best novel yet on the near-mythical events of the Wild West’s most famous silver boomtown.” —Dallas Morning News

Corral is a brilliant novel based on the events and protagonists of this famous gunfight in Tombstone, Arizona on October 26, 1881. The author said she has read 19 linear feet of material on these events and I believe her. While I have not read nearly that much, I have read a great deal about it and the lives of the people surrounding the event. What I find most brilliant is that she has taken descriptions of personality traits of people like Wyatt Earp, Josephine Marcus Earp, Doc Holliday, Ike Clanton, Johnny Ringo, Johnny Behan, and others and created a compelling, realistic, character driven narrative that is entirely plausible.Of course the gunfight itself is only a very small part of the entire narrative. It is really the lives and events leading up to the gunfight, and the events after, told from the perspective of those involved which make this such a compelling novel. It is not a staid retelling of dry facts and dates, but a lively, engaging novel that really draws out the events, actions, and character of those involved. In this novel Russell has given Josephine Marcus Earp has a very central role, along with the Earp wives. In fact we follow Ms. Earp from her humble beginnings in New York, her family’s move to San Francisco, and her ultimate departure and learning the ways of the world, through Tombstone all the way to her long life with Wyatt Earp and beyond. It’s a great way to tell the story since she lived into the 20th Century and much to do with the Wyatt Earp legend and some of the myths surrounding him.Russell seems to have a soft spot for Doc Holliday, and if that is too strong of a word, at least empathy. He is characterized as a dying young man trying to make do the best he can in the violent world of the Wild West. And while testy and prone to bouts of unfortunate conflict, he is also educated, suave, and a gentlemen. The story itself moves along at a brisk pace and the prose and dialogue are outstanding. I especially love the clever, sarcastic dialogue she provided Doc Holliday. The canvas that is painted and the narrative of the events and lives swirling around it make for a very enjoyable and compelling novel.

19 of 20 people found the following review helpful. Russell has done extensive research into the events at Tombstone, and makes the effort to be true to the facts. By Bookreporter "This is the West, sir," observes the newspaper editor at the conclusion of the movie, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. “When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." Perhaps no other legend of the West has been as manipulated and misunderstood as the gunfight at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona on October 26, 1881. It conjures a torrent of gunfire as marshals and marauders duel in the frontier town with guns blazing. The reality is far different. This was not a gunfight in the true meaning of that term, and it did not take place at the O.K. Corral. It actually occurred six doors west of the Corral and was a 30-second confrontation between feuding groups in the Tombstone community. When the shooting began, the two groups were six feet apart. Some of the combatants ran from the fight, and when the shooting ended, three were dead and three were wounded. The shooting at the O.K. Corral has spawned legends, movies, and an entire town of re-enactors and museums in Tombstone, Arizona. Countless books have delved into the actual history of the event. Ironically, Mary Doria Russell’s EPITAPH is perhaps the best compilation of the personalities and events surrounding the incident at Tombstone. Yet even her novel devotes a scant four or five pages to the actual gun battle. The shooting did not end the conflict between the Earps and Clantons. As a good historian would, Russell completes the saga by providing drama and detail to the post-shooting events. Great nonfiction can often cause readers to think they are reading a fictional account. In many ways, EPITAPH does the opposite. Readers may well feel as though they are reading a thoroughly researched and well-written actual history. Two characters are the linchpins of EPITAPH. Wyatt Earp is the law enforcement legend of the West. His life history is two parts myth to one part fact. His name evokes the epitome of American sheriffs of the Old West. But some of his most strident admirers may be shocked to learn that he was a proponent of many anti-gun measures in the communities where he worked. In Earp’s time, Tombstone had very strict gun laws, much stricter than today. The Tombstone shooting was in part caused by Earp’s enforcement of a local law that prohibited carrying firearms in public. The second important character in the novel is one who in later years would help create the legend of Wyatt Earp: his eventual wife, Josephine Marcus. She met Earp in Tombstone and eventually lived with him in San Francisco. As Earp’s common-law wife and widow, she published I MARRIED WYATT EARP in 1931, two years after Earp’s death. It helped create the legend of Earp that many now accept as fact. The extensive cast of characters critical to understanding the Tombstone events are also present in EPITAPH. Doc Holliday was the subject of a previous novel by Russell, DOC. Johnny Behan, the sheriff of Cochise County and Josephine’s erstwhile lover, plays an important role in the saga, as do the McLaurys and Clantons. Russell has done extensive research into the events at Tombstone, and even though she is writing a novel, she makes the effort to be true to the facts. The characters and plot are not perfect, but EPITAPH tells the story with a precision that will entertain readers who love both the legend and the true account of the gunfight at the O.K. Corral.Reviewed by Stuart Shiffman.

The historical records are wildly divergent, some just merely fanciful. The OK Corral incident is iconic and is popularly more legend than history. MDRs catches the sordid politics of that era and place that bound that event in all its confusion and closed mindedness. Her telling is about the humans - in all their humanity, no matter which "side" of the arguments they held.. She solidly nails that. A very very human story - a tragedy for all. There is no glory just various degrees of losing. Events cascading remorselessly in their own perverse logics. Marvelous storytelling and character development. It is tale of cosequences that become out of scale to the minute "decisions".the actors made. When every day life begins to morphs into legend. If you are looking for a "shoot'em up" story EPITAPH is not that at all. Very full of life among death. A damn fine history of the events too

A fascinating look at our fascination with makeup By Leanne I've been a huge fan of Lisa Eldridge for several years, and eagerly pre-ordered this book when it was first available for pre-order several months ago. When Eldridge first revealed more details about the book, I had initially been disappointed that this was going to be more of an overview of makeup throughout history rather than a how-to book, but the more I read about it on her blog -- and now that I have it in my hands -- the happier I am with it. If you love makeup and are interested in how we have used it throughout history to define and create our personae, you'll really love this book. This is a big, colorful book -- one full of glossy images and lots of eye candy. Eldridge not only looks at how we have used makeup throughout history to add glamour into our lives, but she also takes a look at the appeal of icons like Twiggy and of certain colors, like red, white, and black. The book is really well-researched, and Eldridge teases out all the interesting bits about makeup, like how it was made in ancient times and why we have always seemed to be intrigued by using it to empower ourselves. As a history devotee, I loved reading all of this information, and both the inclusion of historical photos and the retro photos added a special dimension to this book.If you're looking for how-to books, I'd recommend Making Faces and Sonia Kashuk Real Beauty (which is out of print, but which is worth tracking down since it has so much great information in it, much better than the information in the two Bobbi Brown books I have).Although makeup can be used to hide features we'd rather keep hidden, Eldridge emphasizes that it's makeup's ability to allow us to tap into our creativity and sense of play that has continued to make us obsess about it for so many hundreds of years. Eldridge captures that spirit of fun throughout this book, and I highly recommend it.

Luckily today was a take-out kind of day, so I snuggled up, chowed down and feasted my eyes upon the fabulous facts of makeup. I love that this book is by no means a how-to, which is refreshing since so many makeup artists turn authors seem to directly fall directly into that category. As a subscriber of Lisa's on Youtube, I have been blown away by her real passion for makeup, not just in its application, but also in it's creation. She is one of those rare people that has mastered what she does and loves what she does. This passion shines through in her book.Lisa takes you through some of the most fascinating periods of history and shows you just how integral makeup was, whether it as approved of at the time, or not, and it's amazing impact on the sociopolitical climate of the times. Now, if that's too historical for you, don't fret. This never feels like a history lesson. Every page has large beautiful prints of vintage makeup cases and advertisements, queens and courtesans, scans of paintings and sketches, all geared toward the world of cosmetics and its fascinating ride through the ages. I read it cover to cover, then went back and read it again. Every paragraph and every page there is a plethora of enthralling facts and histories for your mind to learn. Even better is she doesn't beat around the bush with women's struggles in society and how makeup played a large part in their freedom or lack thereof. As a side note, I was blown away to learn that the argument men make against makeup wearing because it "lies" to them and makes women "deceptive" is an argument that dates back to Ancient Greek and Roman times. (Prepare to see Socrates in a whole new light.)There aren't enough words to describe the level this book is on. This is a fascinating read for beauty guru, anthropologist and historian alike. Lisa Eldridge reaches across the great divide and pulls everyone in with this accomplished and masterful work. Turning the tides against people who view makeup and fashion as shallow and vapid and showing them just how rich and wonderful the cosmetic side of the world really is.Thank you, Lisa. I can't wait to see what you do next!

The brainchild of Amazon Kindle Number One bestselling western writers Mike Stotter and Ben Bridges, PICCADILLY PUBLISHING is dedicated to reissuing classic fiction from Yesterday and Today! SPUR Someone had given the unknown cowboy a rough ride. When Sam Spur found him, sprawled unconscious on the prairie, his hair was matted and filthy, his face bloody, his breathing shallow. With Spur’s help the unknown made a painful comeback, told his story, and the two of them set out on a vengeance ride that has become a classic of the West. MATT CHISHOLM, ALIAS CY JAMES “I was trained as an artist and given an art school scholarship. Writing interested me from the age of about fourteen, and I never saw myself as being anything but a writer. Strangely enough, I have long been a professional writer and an amateur artist. In my late teens, I knocked about as a factory worker and such-like, did a little commercial art and then went to war like most other people of my age. That meant the Western Desert and the Burma border. All good stuff for a writer. I wrote steadily through the war, but had all my notes pilfered before I could bring them home. What thieves could do with a hundred thousand words of bad writing I'll never know. Maybe they had a literary turn of mind, and turned them into bestsellers! Since the war, I have been a civil servant, as which I initiated an edited two official magazines -- which was surprisingly interesting and I loved it. My first novel, Out of Yesterday, was published about 1950. Getting the second one into print seemed to be almost impossible. Many writers have experienced the same difficulty with their second book. I was just not good enough. A veteran writer looked at my work and told me that what I was producing could not be called writing at all. He told me in no uncertain terms the difference between what I was doing and real writing. In short, I knew nothing about the craft whatever. I swore I would never write again. I did, of course, but did not get another book in print for another ten years and about ten books later. This was a western called Halfbreed, which was bought outright for fifty pounds by Panther Books. It was a marvelous feeling." Check us out at www.piccadillypublishing.org

From the Inside Flap In this gripping bestseller, Robert Ludlum spins a web of suspense and high-stakes intrigue as two men who are sworn mortal enemies must cooperate in order to foil a sinister plot to topple the world's governments.  From opposite sides of the Iron Curtain, these two hard-bitten professionals are the best at what they do.  And they do whatever is necessary. The Matarese Circle--a shadowy grouping of the most ruthless terrorists in history.  They have been responsible for countless assassinations and massacres throughout the twentieth century, but none as horrifying as their plan to throw the superpowers into chaos before making their boldest move. . . Now in a newly recorded four-cassette edition from BDD Audio, this chilling tale of espionage and treachery is Ludlum at his best.Stephen Lang's film credits include Last Exit to Brooklyn, Tombstone, Gettysburg and Shadow Conspiracy.  On Broadway, he starred in Hamlet, A Few Good Men, The Speed of Darkness and Death of a Salesman.  He can be heard on other BDD Audio productions including Siberian Light, Meg, Fat Tuesday, and Robert Ludlum's Matarese Countdown.

He has written some great work, most of it now about twenty years old. It still reads fresh, though. Ludlum has written some really fine books. They are, before anything else, incredibly compelling stories. Ludlum has never had to rely on the details of how to create an atomic bomb, or what the sights of a submachine gun are made of in order to create a great story. That is what sets his work apart from so many contemporary writers. The story starts 100 years ago, with the creation of a dynasty called the Matarese which is led by one incredibly insightful and equally evil man. It brings us to the a family chillingly close to the Kennedys, just a step from the White House. The protagonists are America's and the Soviet's top spies, who, hate each other and (of course) must work together to save their respective nation's interests. This is a great book to take on vactaion, when the reader has hours to devote. Don't start this unless you have time, and nothing pressing that must be done.

The plot seems outlandish at first, two spies who hate each other teaming up to destroy an evil organization hell-bent on taking over the world. Yet, Ludlum gives very reasonable explanations for every hole in the story. For instance, the American spy Scofield and the Russian spy Talaniekov would kill one another at first sight. However, Talaniekov receives word that he must find Scofield to take down this international organization of assassins. He can't simply walk up to Scofield and explain the situation without being killed so he sets up a situation where Scofield's only move will be to realize that Talaniekov and he must talk to each other civilly. The cat and mouse game that ensues between the two is, in my opinion, the best part of the book; each one trying to outmaneuver the other. One other blunder that most authors make and that I expected Ludlum to make was in the development of the two spies' character. Most authors will simply tell the reader that the character was "the most respected man in international espionage," the only evidence being that other spies will say that the person was the best. Ludlum really proves to the reader why Scofield and Talaniekov are the best, not with overwhelming physical capabilities(which they both possess) but with superior intelligence. The subtle moves they make that gives them an advantage over their enemies are very impressive.I especially enjoyed the relationship between the two once they've allied together. It's not the amicable one that most authors would probably lean towards. It's tentative, but professional and respectful at the same time. We never see the two joking with one another. The result of that is the ability to communicate large amounts of information to each other in very few words. The addition of Antonia later on adds another dynamic to their relationship and raises the stakes of their mission. Also, a lot of reviewers have commented about the superiority of this book to The Bourne Identity and have questioned the reasons why it hasn't been made into a movie and The Bourne Identity has. I think the reason is simply that this book wouldn't come off as well to a movie audience. The details in The Matarese Circle(especially concerning the Matarese itself), which are often inconsequential in other books, are so important that it would take a 3+ hour movie to do justice to the book. Even then, there would still be many scenes that would bore the movie audience. This book isn't filled with the "so-called" unexpected twists and turns that perforate the plots of most books. It's just a solid novel saturated with colorful characters, interesting relationships and an above average plot. If you're looking for a thoughtful and engrossing page-turner, this one will not let you down.

WOW...Ten Times Better Than Bourne...Ludlum's Best By Charles Justin Luke This book is a masterpiece of suspense, intrigue, excitement, intricate detail, spectacular action, and explosive scenes that make Jason Bourne look like a feeble character in comparison. By far the most spectacular Ludlum book in my opinion, the Matarese Circle starts with the two most incredible and delightfully violent scenes that I have ever read and, from that point on it simply does not stop. You will be pounded with intense scenes from the beginning to the end. WARNING: It is not for the faint of heart or the politically correct. This book has so many shocks and twists that by the end I felt like I had gone twenty rounds with Tyson in his prime. It starts with two events that shock the American and Russian governments so deeply they are thrown into an uneasy balance with each other. Not to mention the book takes place at the height of the Cold War making their relationship even more delicate. Enter Scofield a.k.a Beowulf Agate and Talenikov a.k.a. The Serpent, the two best and most highly respected deep cover spies for their respective governments. After Talenikov is warned by an old spycraft teacher about a mysterious organization called the Matarese that threatens the stability of governments the world over, he must seek out Beowulf Agate. Only he and Beowulf can stop this overwhelmingly powerful organization that has infiltrated the highest levels of government. Only one problem: the two renowned spies are bitter enemies that bear a hatred towards each other deeper than the ocean.Wonderfully written and artfully detailed, I only wish that Mr. Ludlum was alive to continue writing such awesome books. If you're a Ludlum fan or just looking for a book that gives delight throughout, read The Matarese Circle. It will not disappoint.

11 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful resource! By Ashley Chism The 15 minute standing Abs workout plan is a great resource for working your midsection. It comes with 10 standing abs exercises that can be done to strengthen, shrink, and help develop your core. These exercises are great for your stomach area, sides and back. This book gives you a reasonable way to start building the muscles you need in your abdominal area as well as help loose inches around the mid section. This is a great guide that goes into detail on exercises that will help you get the results you desire. These exercises are simple to do and really work. You can use this book as a guide if you are a beginner or a trained athlete. I am a runner and I workout a lot, but I can definitely say that like most My midsection needs some work. I have a good strong core but I have a lot of inches that I need to loose. I also have a lot of lower back pain. I was very excited that I got the opportunity to read and incorporate this book into my fitness routine.Usually when you think of ab exercises you think of lying down and doing crunches, but this is a new spin on it! These are standing exercises! Standing exercises burn more calories than when you are lying down, so you will be able to get more out of your workout by simply standing up. I do these exercises first thing in the morning after I wake up and stretch. I always stretch before I start so that I don't get any injuries. I also complete the workout with stretching to keep from being sore. I started with 10 repetitions of each exercise 3 times a week. I am now doing 10-15 reps of exercises each morning 5 days a week. I like these exercises because you can do them anywhere. I can do them in my office at work, at home when I wake up or before bed, or even at the gym before I start my workout.Using this book as a guide along with a healthy eating style and moderate workout will definitely help you get the results you desire to achieve. You will definitely be able to tell a difference in how you feel and how you look with consistent dedication to these exercises.I received this product during a promotion for a promotional price for testing and reviewing.

No dvds, equipment, or getting on the floor and crunching, just easy to do, standing exercises that take 15 minutes, and will do wonders for your posture snd core strength, which will keep you from injury as you move into more exercises. A well toned core supports your spine, Dale points that out, and what is the main reason people quit a program? Back pain! And boredom. Well these 15 minutes of exercises won't leave you bored, but they'll leave you breathing better, standing taller, and feeling mentally and physically brighter, and smarter, because you stood up and did something great for yourself that'll have long term benefits! Get this, do this, and after a month, check yourself out in the mirror! And because you do them in the morning, your brain will function better because your blood is circulating! Can't beat it!

This was a comprehensive IELTS guide for speaking and writing and having tutored students for the test, I can report that this one was really well written with all aspects of the test covered in a well presented way. The topics and questions were nicely chosen and they have helped my students understand the complexities of the test. Definitely a great resource for learning IELTS, and I would highly recommend it.

Another great IELTS guide By TFLReader I work with an agency that helps bring some exchange students to the U.S. and many of them are required to pass the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. This is the best series of books that we have found to help them do this and the "IELTS Examiner's Tips" gives some fantastic inside tips for students on what examiners are actually looking for during the exam, as well as things to avoid. This guide gives students an incredible advantage as there are tips in here that can't be found elsewhere. The bank of speaking topics included are fantastic. Definitely recommend.

Great Exam Guide By cc2015 IELTS is an exam that can be used to apply to American universities (it is an exam that is accepted by most universities in the world) and this book is tremendously helpful in the process of preparing for it. It's clear, easy to understand, and provides the necessary and crucial information for a student to do well on the exam. I found the tips to be very helpful, and certain things in the book (such as the assessment criteria) are just really handy to have around. Great for reference and test prep. Highly recommended.
