"Tremendously charming and sexy, Served Hot is a knockout!" – RT Book ReviewsIn Portland, Oregon, the only thing hotter than the coffee shops, restaurants, and bakeries are the hard-working men who serve it up—hot, fresh, and ready to go—with no reservations… Robby is a self-employed barista with a busy coffee cart, a warm smile, and a major crush on one of his customers. David is a handsome finance director who works nearby, eats lunch by himself, and expects nothing but “the usual”—small vanilla latte—from the cute guy in the cart. But when David shows up for his first Portland Pride festival, Robby works up the nerve to take their slow-brewing relationship to the next level. David, however, is newly out and single, still grieving the loss of his longtime lover, and unsure if he’s ready to date again. Yet with every fresh latte, sweet exchange—and near hook-up—David and Robby go from simmering to steaming to piping hot. The question is: Will someone get burned?

First in the new Portland Heat series!

The entire story is told from Robby's point of view and he owns and runs a coffee cart in the business district of Portland. For months he's had a crush on one of his customers, but can't read the signals that David is sending him that run hot and cold.David's lover of 12 years died suddenly two years ago. But in that 12 years, his lover never came out, never acknowledged their relationship, never did anything with David like couples do. That's the only relationship David has ever known, so he doesn't know how to act normal. He's always had to hide everything. That makes this relationship fairly rocky, because David is not a guy to wear his heart on his sleeve, or talk about things, or to even think about what maybe Robby needs from them. I'll admit, that made this book a bit difficult...just because David is so clueless and by being that way, he hurts Robby. But overall I enjoyed the book. My heart ached for David and the 12 years he spent with that other guy...just because that relationship was so bad and toxic for him. He deserved better. But David ticked me off, too, because there were times when it just seemed like he should make more of an effort to understand Robby. At times he was very self-centered and that got old especially as their relationship developed. It seemed like Robby was making all the sacrifices for them to succeed. But it was a good read and it will be interesting to see where the series goes from here. I enjoyed the Portland setting.I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Adams ~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~Short and sweet story about Robby and David. Robby owns his own coffee cart and David is a customer. Things heat up at a Pride festival and slowly we learn there is more to David than meets this eye. This story is a fast read and keeps you drawn into the story. I can’t wait to see where the series goes. My only complaint is the story wasn’t longer. I loved Robby and David.Characters: The characters were well written and believable.Sex: yesReligious: noWould I recommend to others: yesMore than one book in the series: yesGenre: M/M/RomanceWould I read more by this author: yes~Wicked Reads Review Team~

By Jen M Enjoyable read about two men trying to figure out how to be in a good relationship, after both of them have been in bad ones. I would have liked to have had David's POV as well, since the only thoughts and feelings revealed are Robby's. This made me sympathize more with Robby, even though David was also going through some rough times. Overall a sweet read with some steamy scenes.3.5 starsARC provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
