By duckaunt81 I have completed the Filthy Marcellos series (FABULOUS by the way) by Bethany-Kris but this is the first book that I've read in this series. I only read it because Shattered was one of my recommended titles and it was recommended that I read this one first. I'm glad I did.This book has to be one of the most heart wrenching books that I've ever read. Though only a little over 120 pages long, it packs a lot of emotions. Because I haven't read the previous books in the series, I had no feel for how entwined the lives of Demyan and Gia were. I couldn't understand the bond and strength of their romantic relationship. It was just there. That is until toward the end of the book where it was laid out for the reader to see. I cried through the last quarter of the book because it was pure raw emotion.Rape, guilt, grieve, revenge, sadness, sorrow and redemption (for one character). The other character's redemption I believe will come in Shattered.How does a person cope with life-changing events that are the result of your response to pure evilness? That is question that faces siblings Demyan and Ana. If you've ever known anyone who has experienced loss of a love one, loss of self and fear being blamed even if it's not their fault, then this book will resonate with you...Thank you so much for this book. It is one which I will always remember because it touch my very soul..

By Deborah This is the forth book in this series but the first of the next generation with Demyan and Ana being the main characters and for me it's the best so far.The synopsis is good and since I don't want to inadvertently give anything away I'm going to avoid giving a summary of any kind, this book was so much more than I expected, it's emotional and raw at times and went where I didn't expect.I didn't read any reviews or the blurb first (which is why it was such a surprise) since I was already committed to this series, this is by far the shortest book yet at only 128 pages and if I'm being honest I expected it to just give us an insight into Demyan and Ana's lives, what they're doing, where they're heading that kind of thing building up to the next book I didn't expect and wasn't prepared for the book we got.#### I'm adding this to the bottom of my reviews for this series.I checked the authors page which isn't something I generally do but I wanted to know if we were getting any more Russian Guns books. On the site there's 9 mini free reads/deleted scene books from this series and one in particular 'White Sand Black Beauty' is just beautiful it takes us to the second time Anton and Viviana meet, he's eighteen and rebelling against everything and then he sees her.....

This is the story of the lives of Anna (daughter) and Demyan (son) as they have gradulated into their further education and started dated others. Demyan has been in love with Gia (Ivan's daughter) since he was a little boy. Anna started dating someone who came to a party of her parents but was not sure she trusted him, as well she is dating (Koldan), the son of one of her father's friends from New Jersey who she is very attracted to and trusts. There is so much happening in this book, murder and revenge, rape, love, engagement, marriage proposals, angst, depression, pregnancy, trust, victims, self recriminations, so much emotion, such sadness at times, pain, misery, a wide spectrum of emotions. I cannot recommend this book and series more, I have so enjoyed each and every book of this series. My hat is tipped to the author you certainly know how to write a bratva story. Thank you and I am sure I will continue to enjoy the rest of this series.

However, I bought the second edition and the index does not match the correct page numbers. It is very frustrating to look something up then have to leaf through the pages in the general area to find what I am looking for. I have tried to call the publisher to see if there is an addendum or if I could have a corrected version but the published phone number does not work.

The book is beautifully designed, good quality, and organized well. It offers many different ways to incorporate and safely/effectively use therapeutic-grade essential oils into everyday life - everything from supporting various health/wellness functions to cooking with essential oils. From heavily armored gun platforms designed to slug it out toe to toe, able to take hits, recover and keep fighting we and the Russians built new technology fleets equipped with lightweight aluminum hulls, missile launchers instead of guns and automated command systems. Billions of dollars were spent on untried and untested systems, some of which were successful and many which were not. Warhips that could not survive being hit. As we saw with the Belknap wreck and the one shot kills of British Destroyers and Frigates during the Falklands War incredible advantage was gained by the side which fired first in battle. The Vincennes incident occurred years after this book was written but the message was the same, if you want to survive a modern naval battle you have to fire first even if you aren't sure. This book explores what might happen if a Russian and an American fleet were to meet in battle, a battle in the run up to a major war, a battle which would determine the winner of the next war, the battle of the first salvo. Dated but still packs a punch.

The good guys in the plot are very good, very clever, very brave and great patriots - simply too perfect. The bad guys are made out to be very stupid. A book of this sort could serve as a recruiting ad for the navy - too much of a good thing.

Another Chopra Wake Up Call By Rachel Ray The 13th Disciple, about a contemporary Mystery School, might be part of a genre called New Age Spiritual Mysticism. And Dr. Chopra is right to place this in his pantheon of publications because if spirituality is not connected to everyday life, it’s meaningless. These contemporary fictional characters aren’t psychologically deep but deep enough to carry a spiritual plot. Many readers will know actual people like Mare, Frank, Jimmy, Galen, and Lilith which is what makes the reading fun.Perhaps more compelling to longtime Chopra readers is the book’s afterword called The Mystery and You. Don’t skip it because once again the light (awareness) comes shining through. You’ll find out why Chopra has a special interest in writing about Christianity. It’s a revelation that many of us have long shared about the teachings of Christ. I’m renewing my search for a Mystery School here in Washington, DC.

Some will go kicking and screaming in defiance but in the end "resistance is useless"!Such an understated quote "You're someone with possibilities only you don't realize it yet", hints at our infinite potential.In reality I suggest that great ones like Deepak Chopra and Dr B Alan Wallace form an invincible alliance to dispel the prevalent myth of scientific materialism delivering a final, mortal blow to this unsubstantiated falsehood. This would be a great blessing for the world.I hope you enjoy the 13th Disciple as much as I did and that you too shine the light of truth in your life.

Dark and Gritty Victorian Romance (B+ Grade) By Katie Babs I’ve been anxious to read more Victorian romances, and The Fighter and the Fallen Woman by Pamela Cayne hits the spot. This is a no holds barred, gritty and raw romance that will engage your emotions. I could practically taste the sweat and blood, as well as the deep pain, Lady endures at the hands of her protector, a monster of a man who treats her like his prized possession but has no qualms abusing her whenever he wants. This isn’t a light and fluffy romance, and has a feel of an epic romance.Lady became a whore at a very young age. She was installed at a brothel, and now years later she is the mistress (or rather the possession) of Hannibal Adams, a brute of a man who is all about flash, style and having a beautiful woman on his arm like Lady. In public he treats Lady like gold, but behind closed doors he terrorizes her whenever he feels like it. He has given Lady a life so many women of her status would die for. She has her own house, clothes and jewelry, but she pays a steep price. She lets Adams do whatever he wants to her. She always puts on an act to keep him happy and not anger him. One wrong move on her part and she’ll end up with bruises. Adams is into fighting matches, and thinks he has a winner with King, a man of the streets who acts like he’s a devoted employee to Adams. King adores Lady and hates seeing her so empty and hallow, suffering at the hands of Adams. He and Lady dream of escape. Lady wants to live on a farm in a small town (Why do heroines like Lady always want to live on some farm in some small town? It’s become a strange trope in historical romance with courtesan or prostitute heroines). Lady is close to making her dream a reality but she has to be very careful because one wrong move and she’ll end up in a grave like Adams’ last mistress.We slowly see King and Lady bond and then become lovers in a very touching and sweet way. Their love scenes are beautiful and counteracts the horrors Lady endures by Adams. There is one scene where Adams assaults Lady in such a way that will have the reader in tears because they way Lady describes it to King is heart-wrenching. King becomes Lady’s Knight in Shining Armor, and she his Princess.The ending isn’t surprising and pretty much what you would expect in a historical romance. I would say it’s the weakest section of the story. But The Fight and the Fallen Woman gets high marks from me for a heart stopping, on the edge of your seat romance.Fans of historical romance with an incredible emotional storyline should read this one.Katiebabs

Lady's fears and her past are sensitively portrayed, and the author's deft characterization paints her as a woman who is both incredibly sympathetic to readers and, also, strong and admirable. King is powerful, kind and deeply protective of Lady, although he knows he can't publicly show this. These two survivors -- "a rich man's mistress and a rich man's thug" -- bring us a compelling and dangerous love story.I loved these well written and unique characters and their undeniable chemistry. I was up for hours reading this story, and it was worth every minute! The last few chapters especially left my heart pounding as I raced to the conclusion... A highly recommended novel. I can't wait for more books by this talented new author!

I loved the character of Lady--her smarts and grit and heart let her survive being the mistress of Mr. Adams, an abusive London underworld kingpin, and King, a boxer with a gentle side, made a great match for her. Though the abuse itself was largely off-screen, the story was very dark and intense. If Lady and King are caught together, they'll both be killed, and there are possible betrayers lurking on every side as Lady and King make plans to run away at the end of the boxing tournament. The secondary characters were also well-drawn, particularly Mrs. Nesbitt, who is both Lady's best friend and a spy for Mr. Adams, and Jonathan and not-quite-right-in-the-head boxer.

I've read a lot of dystopian books lately and the protagonists are usually adolescents. I really liked that in this book the main characters are adults. The book is well written, moving smoothly between past and the (near) future where the American government appears to be crumbling. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and especially want to know more about the new American society .

Simply Fantastic & Intriguing Read By Elizabeth Clinton This book was recommended to me by another author who highly praised it and all I can say she was 100% correct. This was Simply an Incredible Read. Cecilia London takes you on the roller coaster ride of your life. It is filled with twists and turns and ups and downs and a ride that truthfully you don't want to get off because it is that thrilling.There is a lot of different emotions in this book that I can say we're amazing. I cried right from the prologue and many more times throughout the book. It takes you from the past to the present with such ease that you can't wait to turn the page to see what happens next.We meet Caroline a rising start in the Democratic Party a Congreswoman who unfortunately life throws a heartbreaking curve at with two small children she is looking to move ahead with her life and just get on with life with good friends she seems to be doing just fine.When we meet Jack a up and coming Congressman who by all means is a "Playboy Millionaire" he crosses paths with Caroline at a party after some words where said about him on the campaign trail that were not so gracious and he doesn't find her to be very sincere in her apology and doesn't even want to accept it. But when the two get to talking long into the night a friendship is formed.Even as different as the two of them are politically we start to see feeling develop more than friendship, you are cheering them on throughout hoping To see Caroline heal by the affection and love Jack shows her and you see that looks can be deceving when it comes to Jack.As we come into the present we see that the government is falling apart at the seams and the laws don't really mean a thing basically it's everyman for themselves, but what does Jack and Caroline know in the present that has to be the question?This is only part one of a fantastic new series and when you put down the book after you read the words The End all you will be saying is give me Part Two Now! If you love books that deal with Intrigue, Romance and everything in between don't miss this one you won't be disappointed.

I read the blurb and I can honestly say that it does NOT do justice to the story. It is soooo much more than Caroline’s unconscious recovery in a VA hospital.The story starts off on the night it all went to hell. Two people are running for their lives. At the time, I didn’t know them but I felt the fear, the adrenaline rush through my blood, I felt the pain, the agony course through my body. When they stopped and did what they had to do, my heart was ripped into pieces. I felt silent tears falling only to fade away after sometime. The prologue was brutal and heart-wrenchingly breathtaking.To say I am enamored with Cecilia’s writing would be an understatement. I’ve always been a sucker for romance and suspense and this one had both in spades. After the heart in your throat start, we flashback to five years ago when we meet the Caroline and Jack. They did not have a great beginning. When they first meet Caroline is recovering from a great loss and in her struggle does to survive the loss, she makes an ass of herself. Being the person that she is, she endeavors to silently mend what she has broken without of course Jack knowing. I did cringe at the conversation between them and I could not blame Jack at all. Sigh. Jack! What can I say about him, do you know the proverb still water runs deep, I think it was made for Jack. That man is not what he seems at all. Yes he was a douche before but there were reasons. While their friendship blossoms, he struggles to accept his past so that he can forge his future.While this is happening, I timehop to the present time with my heart trying to attempt to make an escape from my body. The brutal truth of the current situation, the insanity of it all, makes me wanna hug my teddy and think of rainbows and care bears. I want my flashback, I don’t like the current world. Sigh. Alas I had to put my big girl undies and fight the cringe-worthy viciousness. I felt my heart break, my body spasm. The patient being kept safe in the hospital has been through so much. How she survived what she did was beyond comprehension? The world is indeed full of crazy monsters who would stop at nothing to gain more power and money.Off to my happy flashback moments, the loved who Caroline is as a person. She’s isn’t your typical person of power. And if you knew me you would know how much I totally hate the subject but Cecilia made me love the whole topic. There’s goodness out there, it’s not really all about domination. I loved Mo and Feef, their interaction with Caroline, Bob and Chrissy, the staffs who work for Caro and Jack. To say he’s swoon-worthy would be an understatement. A lot of people doubts his sincerity and I don’t blame them considering his past and the thing he does unknowingly being the villain in his own happy ever after. He’s suave, he’s sexy and he’s damn hot for Caro, what more does a girl want but a man who is totally and irrevocably into her. But Caro is scared of a happy future because of what she’s lost in the past. Would she believe Jack when he says he wants a future with her? Or will Jack unknowingly destroy their happiness? Or will the powers that be who think they can oppress, destroy good people so that they can rule the world?I really did not expect to be swept away in the tide of romance and intrigue as much as I did. And I cannot wait to dive into book 2 when it is out. This was brutal yet charming, sweet yet sinister in its content. The artwork is mediocre and does not enhance the text. But according to the author's note in the front of the book, the artwork matters little; Ehrlin tells parents that "it is best if the child is lying down while listening, instead of looking at the pictures, so that he or she can relax even more." By Interstellar I just heard about the book and ordered the hardcopy.A short while later I was informed by my spouse that my two little ones were still up and amped for their first day of school (tomorrow), so I added the Kindle version and downloaded it for immediate help.Note: Reading on an iPad in a dark room created its own distraction. Not recommended. I'll use this version when we travel and use the hardcopy at home.The book has you insert your child's name in, so I used the more active and harder-to-sleep one's name.The forward suggests that it might take a few reads to get the pattern down and warns of unusual phrasings in the book which is certainly true.The book is a lot longer than I thought it would be and the way the iPad breaks it up I kept thinking the book was over, when a new section would start. This should allow easy stopping points on later to check on the kiddos and end the book if they are out.It took almost the whole book, but mine were out - and the one that never falls asleep first (whose name I was using throughout) was sleeping first.I downloaded the book while they were running up and down the hallway, 20min later I typed this review.

Granted, I have only used it once so far, but it was even worth the price for one blissful bedtime routine. My kids have NEVER fallen asleep while we read to them, not a ONE. They usually fall asleep after a couple stories, another trip to the bathroom, a sip of water, etc etc etc. It can take a while! Last night all THREE kids fell asleep before I had finished half of the book. Amazing!

My son is just a few weeks shy of his third birthday and at that oh-so-inquisitive stage. This book has a number of pros but ultimately, failed for me (at least so far). The good:- uses relaxation techniques, which could be effective for calming children (and the adult reading the book)- story has positive messaging about feeling loved, safe and secure- very few pictures - which could be considered a con - but this encourages the child to use imagination- characters are cute enough, though the actual story is long and tedious to read and probably part of the reason it puts kids to sleep!Despite all of the above, the plot seems to drag on too slowly for curious little ones. Even though I managed to get my son to lay down in bed and listen to the first few pages (I read the story and did not let him see the ipad), I was interrupted constantly with questions: "Why can't Roger sleep? How come his siblings fell asleep so easily? Why am I in the book with Roger? Mom, why do you keep yawning?" In the end, he lost interest and tuned me out, preferring to talk to himself about his day rather than listen to me ramble on about how he was "going to fall asleep, now." I know that tempo is one of the sleep techniques used in the book, but unfortunately, the plot may not move fast enough to sustain concentration.I will keep trying it but having read the story a couple of times now, I'm not that optimistic it will work on my son. On the other hand, I was pretty drowsy after reading the whole thing aloud.Update: I downloaded the audio book last night in hopes that it might be more effective. Same outcome with slightly different questions: "Why is that man talking? Why does he keep saying Roger is tired?" Overall, I would say that for impatient, active toddlers with busy minds, this book likely won't engage them long enough for the story to work its magic. I'm jealous of those who have success with it!Just to note, my son doesn't struggle with going to sleep but is active and likes to stay up late and play (on his own, in his room). When he's finally tired, he will just lie down and go to bed without issue. My hope from this book was to get him to fall asleep a bit earlier (i.e. 8:30pm instead of 9:30-10pm).

Hellos & Goodbyes By Susan Wright Continuing Mary and James McGrother's story of life in a troubled Ireland readers find themselves saying hello to new characters while saying a farewell to others. I found this book as hard to put down as I found the first two in the saga. It amazes me how I can be transported to another time and place by a talented author. The characters in these books became real to me. I felt as though I was actually sharing the joys and sorrows of "friends" rather than fictional characters. I thank Ms Reinhardt for educating me as well as touching my heart with her words.

This is true because I truly enjoyed book 1 and book 2. The characters are so real I found them becoming "friends". If you are looking for something really great to read, read this family saga that takes place in mid eighteen hundreds Ireland. You will be glad you did, believe me. Then you like myself with be anxiously awaiting Book 4. Could we convince the author to do more than Four.

A Wonderful Family Saga By Pat An Irish Family Saga Book 3 - Tom and Patrick Gallagher were young boys living with their father, Thomas Gallagher, originally from Blackrock, Ireland. The two young boys got into a brawl. Patrick was severely injured; their father, Thomas put them on a steamship for Blackrock and instructed them to find Maggie's house to receive help. James' sister, Maggie nursed Patrick until he was healed and healthy again.The saga of James and Mary McGrother continues with their relatives and children in Ireland. The children are grown and are paving a path for their own lives.The author has pulled all the books together making a great historical entertaining novel for her readers. I was so excited and so involved in reading I didn't take the time to write reviews after every book. Now I am playing catch up writing reviews. WOW! What a great history lesson. I absolutely loved every book, I didn't want them to end.

Powerful, empowering By Ginny Dahlberg Yes, there were glassblowers captive in Venice who knew the secret for making clear glass, and some did indeed escape to France to work for Louis XIV, and it is believed (if not known) they were Jews. Beyond this, the story is fiction - exceptionally well-written fiction. Joanna Campbell Slan provides three-dimensional characters we can almost see, in settings we can almost see. Her story moves steadily at a pace perfectly in synch with the "moment" it captures. This is a read that shouldn't be missed - by men or women!

At that point in time creating mirrors was a very specialized and secreted skill, of which very few glassblowers could craft. Indeed, the Doge of Venice moved all of the glassblowers to the island of Murano, making them captives so that only he was able to benefit from their skills and allow Venice to hold a monopoly on producing mirrors. However, 18 were smuggled out and moved to France and commissioned to make the 357 mirrors for King Louis' Hall of Mirrors. The Doge was not one to be crossed, however, and he sent an assassin to kill each of the Dix-Huit, as they were known. The Glassblower's Wife gives life to these Jewish craftsmen. We meet Rabbi Saul Telfin, master glassblower, and his wife Ruth, as well as the assassin, and see how the Hall of Mirrors was completed. Joanna Campbell Slan weaves an intriguing short story around this little known nugget of history. Although the story is short, the she still manages to give us richly developed characters.Looking for a quick read that will also give you some historical knowledge? The Glassblower’s Wife, Ruth just grabbed hold of by heart and held on tight and wouldn’t let go.I remember learning a bit about Versailles in a college class (always wanted to travel there and see for myself) and while I remember learning of the beauty of the building I had forgotten the story of the glassblowers until reading this story. The French convinced a number of Venetian artisans to defect and come to make the mirrors for the great hall. In response, the Venetian government ordered the assassination of the these artists to keep the secrets of how to make mirrors a secret from the French.Joanna Campbell Slan uses her vivid imagination to give us a story the brings this part of history to life. Saul Telfin, was the head glassblower and Ruth was his wife. Due to her disability she was able to blend into the shadows and hear things. She remembered those things with great detail…very important things.This really is a must read and as only 42 pages you will fly right through it. It will stick with you for much longer as you think of the sacrifices made and the way the story comes together at the end. I was truly moved.

The character development in this series is excellent, and I feel as if the author left nothing out. I felt instantly connected to the story early on.The relationship between Emma and Garyson is so compelling, and even after reading the first two in this series, I am still so excited to read the others. I felt such a connection to the characters and the story of their unwavering love, even in times of separation and difficulty.The inclusion of some characters from her other series HAD me. And the ending had me laughing so hard, I was crying and pumping my fist in the air! Simply CANNOT wait until her next books!

I've been a fan of Cristin Harber ever since I was introduced to her Titan Series.I wasn't sure what to expect with this book since I kind of went into this series blind. Though I'm glad I did because I truly enjoyed getting to know Emma and Grayson. Only for Her, picks up right where Only from Him ends and boy did it leave us hanging!My heart broke for Emma in this book And learning where her life journey went after Grayson left.. But we soon find out that true love never dies.Overall I loved this book. Looking forward to part 3!

Protect the health of your eyes -- and brain -- with foods that nourish them By Franziska Spritzler Disclosure: I was contacted by the author, who sent me a review copy of this book free of charge.The ability to see is something we usually take for granted until we start having problems. Loss of vision due to cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration becomes more common as we age, but eye problems can develop throughout the life cycle. I've had several eye disorders: bilateral strabismus ("lazy eye") requiring surgery when I was seven, medium myopia (nearsightedness) since around that age, and most recently presbyopia ("old eyes" -- farsightedness after the age of 40). I also have a strong family history of glaucoma, so doing whatever i can to preserve the sight I have is extremely important to me.Dr. Bruce Fife is a naturopath, certified nutritionist, and director of the Coconut Research Center. He's a prolific author, having written 20 books based on his extensive review of the literature on the benefits of coconut oil and its medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). In his latest book, Stop Vision Loss Now!, he provides evidence that a well-balanced, nutrient-rich, very-low-carbohydrate diet supplemented with coconut oil may help to prevent and even reverse some of the most common eye disorders associated with aging.The major concept of the book is that the eyes are an extension of the brain, so whatever keeps the brain healthy and well nourished will do the same for the eyes. There's a growing body of research demonstrating that maintaining blood glucose and insulin levels as close to normal as possible can help preserve brain function and reduce the risk for Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. According to Dr. Fife, many researchers now believe that although increased intraocular pressure is involved in glaucoma, its primary cause is that nerve cells within the brain become damaged, similar to what happens in Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. He explains that coconut oil increases brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a gene that stimulates the growth, maintenance, and repair of these nerve cells.. Dr. Fife suggests that the increase in ketone levels that occurs in response to MCT can protect eye health and improve or potentially reverse degenerative eye disorders as a result of increased BDNF. In addition to age-related conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy, coconut oil can also be used for dry eyes, eye infections, and other non-vision-limiting conditions.*In addition to generous amounts of healthy fats and moderate amounts of protein, Dr. Fife recommends including a wide variety of nonstarchy vegetables and berries to reduce oxidative stress that can lead to eye disease. He advises selecting from three different levels of carbohydrate intake based on blood glucose levels and provides a sample menu for a typical day, along with guidance on meal planning and dining out. Lists of protective low-carbohydrate foods and a comprehensive net carb counter are included. Dr. Fife has a gift for making advanced nutrition concepts and physiological processes easy for the average reader with an interest in health to understand. It was truly a pleasure read for me. There are many personal accounts throughout the book, including the author's story of how he reversed his own early-stage glaucoma. Although there isn't a lot of published research on the benefits of coconut oil for eye disorders, he makes a great case for including it as part of a whole-foods-based, low-carbohydrate diet in Stop Vision Loss Now!*Regardless of whether these changes in diet and lifestyle improve your vision, if you have an eye disorder, you should continue to see your ophthalmologist at least once a year for monitoring.

Going blind is the second largest fear of the elderly, the first is death. So it is with that said that we should all care more about eye health. I know many elderly relatives who would be blind if it wasn't for modern medicine. Most had cataracts which caused near blindness.Reading Bruce Fife's new book on eye health gives you quite the education. This book presents the underlying reasons for various eye conditions. By reading this book and following the advice you can help to prevent degenerative problems that happen as we all age. You may have thought glaucoma was irreversible but this author says it isn't. He healed his glaucoma by eating coconut oil.I always learn a lot while reading a Bruce Fife book and this book is about a lot more than coconut oil. This book teaches you about a ketogenic diet. There is also some information on how coconut oil raises blood ketones. This book also promotes a low-carb diet. Although I think avoiding all sugars is near impossible in our modern age. I have tried to completely stop eating all sugars and have only somewhat succeeded. I can't see totally avoiding everything sweet on a long-term basis. Maybe some people can but they have stronger wills than mine. To me life without something sweet once in a while is not a life worth living.There is some information on fasting in this book but I'd highly recommend reading way more books on the subject before you try it. Fasting is not something you want to mess with if you don't have all the facts. You need specific instructions for how to go on and off fasts. So be cautious.So really this book is about preventing, stopping and reversing eye diseases. 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Five Stars for the Book; Two Stars for the Ketogenic Diet By Anthony S. Brezovski This is the first book by Dr. Fife that I completely read. "Stop Vision Loss Now!" contains some very useful insights that I now use. OTOH, it isn't perfect. While I use coconut oil every day, other aspects of his ketogenic diet leave me cold. I doubt if anybody anywhere follows a strict ketogenic lifestyle long-term, excepting maybe a castaway. In fairness to Dr. Fife, he does point out different aspects of a ketogenic lifestyle that many people *can* embrace and still reap a benefit.
