A: I grew up watching movies like Indiana Jones and The Goonies. Those movies were so fascinating to me. As a kid, I always wanted to be an adventurer that discovered ancient treasures, not for the financial wealth, but because I always thought, and still think, it must be so amazing to find something that someone left hidden hundreds or thousands of years before. At that moment, you are the first person to see that artifact in a long time. I also love suspense action fiction stories, terrorism novels and television shows, and especially enjoy a good thriller about conspiracies and secret societies. Jack Reacher, Jason Bourne, Jack Ryan, are all pulp heroes I can root for. It seemed logical to make Sean Wyatt like one of those guys, but one that also has a background in history, making him the Indiana Jones of action adventure thrillers.
Q: There are several books in the Sean Wyatt series. In what order should they be read?
A: The first three are a trilogy, but you can read them out of order if you really want to. I'd start with The Secret of the Stones and then go to The Cleric's Vault and The Last Chamber. The rest of the books in the series are stand alone novels.
Q: Why should readers check out your Sean Wyatt novels?

Enjoy the rocketing pace of this compelling thriller!I reviewed a digital ARC generously provided by the author for review purpose, but this novel is a definite must-buy.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Another great Sean Wyatt adventure! By Kristoffer The author Ernest Dempsey has added another great thriller to the Sean Wyatt series. As an aficionado of thrillers that center around ancient mysteries, I can say with confidence that this author just keeps getting better. The only thing that I missed in this tale was that we didn't really get to know Sean's girlfriend Adrianna much better. While she was present throughout most of the novel, she played a more passive role in this book. I think she'd make a great main character in a novel centered around her exploits, "hint, hint". I look forward to the next Sean Wyatt novel and anything else this author writes.

If you have never heard of Sean Wyatt, you need to be good to yourself and get this book! If you are already a Sean Wyatt fan, then you know that you must get this next installment of his adventures. This book stands on its own, but reading them all in order would be the best way to experience the excellent writing of Ernest Dempsey. I am very fortunate to be on the advance team for Ernest's books, and I receive a free copy in exchange for any ideas or editing suggestions and then for an honest review. What is really great is loving this character and his adventures, because I really don't like leaving bad reviews, and I know from the outset that I won't have that problem! Not with Sean Wyatt! And definitely not with Mr. Dempsey!In this book, Sean Wyatt is once again introduced to, and then becomes immersed in, a search for an ancient relic - one that has been hidden through history, and one that brings out those who would do much evil in order to obtain it. The action is non-stop, edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting, wonderful stuff. You will be taken on an adventure around the world, and, because of the great talent of the author's for research and description, you will feel you are there in every location. At one point, I actually felt I was experiencing jet-lag with the characters, but then I realized that it was just the adrenaline rush with the subsequent let-down of all the exciting events. Yes, it was that good, and I am so sure that most people will agree that I am recommending it to all, without reservation!Also, for me, as a die-hard fan, the ending was especially good and left me totally satisfied with Sean's decision regarding the relic, as well as another decision - one that has me soooooo excited about the next Sean Wyatt adventure!!! I'll say no more except that I am now off to purchase the final copy and read it all over again!! Buy this book! You won't be sorry!
