5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. a class By Bryan T. Geach Jen Turano typically delights me with her writing, however this book wraps up way to neatly, it's not even believable. Plus you don't really feel a strong connection between the two characters and at the end where they are declaring their love, the two friends interjecting is just annoying. I usually can't wait to read the next book by Jen but do not look forward to the other books in this series.

But after an incident delivering a hat to a customer, she finds herself without a job.Oliver Addleshaw is a rich businessman from one of the oldest and wealthiest families of the community. He doesn't want to marry, and is tired of the women who chase after him, trying to entrap him into matrimony. So he devises a plan, but he needs Harriet's help. Oliver Addleshaw tries to help Harriet by offering her a job, but he doesn't tell her what that job entails. Harriet is hesitant at first, but eventually accepts. Will Harriet and Oliver find, what they didn't even know they were looking for? This is an absolutely delightful read from beginning to end, and I knew I was in for adventure, that would have me grinning ear-to-ear, and I was right! I loved the full cast of fascinating characters, like Millie, who is trying to improve her vocabulary by reading the dictionary and trying new words, which leads her to say some downright funny things!Harriet is a strong young woman, with a dream and a will not to be dependent on Oliver. She won't cow-tow to his every whim and challenges him at times. She won't be party to her aunt's crazy schemes, and she knows that she wants to help people, not just make money. I loved seeing the change in Oliver, and how having Harriet around made him rethink how he was running his business.Overall, this was a wonderful book from beginning to end, filled with humor and memorable characters who brought a smile to my face. I don't want to give too much away, because somethings are best let wonderful surprises. I loved this delightful read, full of great characters, humor, action, and wit. Highly recommend!Thank you to Ms. Turano for letting me read fabulous her book in exchange for an honest review!

By Kara Grant An utterly DELIGHTFUL book that completely surprised me and had me glued to the pages!!!! I didn't think I'd get into this story because of the Fashion title and the different styles of clothing described.....i was SO WRONG. This book captured my full attention from the first chapter and wouldn't let me go, I even found myself falling asleep a few times but wouldn't stop until I reached the next chapter, wow!Quirky characters, chaos all around, Buford the dog who never listens but is also afraid of heights, GREAT dialogue that had me in stitches more than once, misunderstandings galore, one evil aunt who doesn't know when to give up, two best friends and one priest who are ALL overprotective and wonderfully involved, one fake situation that leads to all sorts of rumors and trouble, and one beautiful hatmaker who has a heart of gold and an unrelenting faith that inspired me throughout.Millie and Lucetta were my favorite characters, wow oh wow to have best friends like those two, and Millie kept using the wrong word and looking at her dictionary, just ADORABLE :)The plot strongly reminded me of the movie Pretty Woman, except there's no prostitution, only misunderstandings relating to the fake situation between Oliver and Harriet, such FUN!Another thing about the plot that DEEPLY touched me was that Harriet's destiny was MUCH bigger than she realized! Every birthday she prayed to God for "something wonderful" to happen and she finally got the ultimate wonderful in the conclusion....that deeply encouraged me because God is about giving EACH of us the ultimate wonderful :)One SERIOUSLY wonderful book that is worth more than five stars, this story totally edified me and simply amazed me by how funny and unconventional it is from the first chapter and I almost missed it because the I misunderstood the title, when I ended up loving every bit of it and NEED to read the rest of the series now :) Lets face it, if Turano writes it, it is a MUST read and will be enjoyed to the very last page. WHAT an ending too, DID NOT see THAT coming and it was perfectly written!! Loved it and highly recommend it!
