2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Build your body in just 30 days! By Mary Queen I have been going to gym for almost six months now. But, I have not seen much progress in my body. I was sure that I was doing something wrong but couldn't figure out what it was. So, I got this book for help. This book has given me tremendous idea on how to prepare my body in just 30 days. I have been following the instructions of this book for two weeks now and already I'm seeing changes in myself. So, I would definitely recommend this book to other people who would like to build their body in just 30 days.

Crossfit, in other words means performing “functional movements that are constantly varied at high intensity.” Crossfit unlike just regular exercise or bodybuilding is a core strength and conditioning program. The crossfit program is designed to attack a broad spectrum of areas and easily adapted for best response. Crossfit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in every area of fitness you can possibly think of. The definition of crossfit is meant to be suitable for all ages, all levels of fitness background and any physical conditions. Anybody that has a body can be an athlete at crossfit. I highly recommend this short read to anyone interested on the topic of crossfit.

Although I don’t fully agree with the training profiles stated early on the book. I feel they should be much more expansive and not fully closed as they are (You are either this or you are that). This is my first CrossFit book ever and I am looking forward to learning more about the subject. I am excited to have found a book which will break me out of my regular workout routine. The book covers warm ups, WOD (Workout of the Day) for paying homage and a few tips on hydration and working out with other’s. My favorite part was chapter 6 where it is all about food and nutrition planning. This is a great starting point for somebody looking to learn about CrossFit.
