About the Author Roger Paulding is the author of two previous volumes of the seney Chronicles, including Solomon’s Journey, and The Pickled Dog’s Journey (originally published as The Pickled Dog Caper) He founded the Houston Writers Guild, which brought together more than 200 writers in the Houston area. He now operates the Houston Writers House and continues to mentor many writers, both published and unpublished.

Coming of age in 18th Century London By Jim Murtha We meet a prudish, naïve Jonathan Seney in 1769, shortly after he arrives in London from The Colonies to study law. His three house-mates, an artist, a medical student, and an architect, relish the opportunity to introduce him to a bawdy lifestyle of drinking and carousing in the bustling big city, where they encounter loose women and predatory men. Eager to partake in new-found romance, our protagonist places himself in the crosshairs of seedy characters, but his friends come to his aid. We see, hear, and smell London in painstaking detail: dress, architecture, goings-on, manners, and vernacular. When we meet up again with Jonathan, half a year older and far wiser, he partakes in the revelry of a wealthy landowner at a seaside estate. The women are more refined, but nasties lurk about. In the final installment, Jonathan has completed his studies and returned home to practice his profession and seek a wife. There is a single loose end, clearly intentional. A bonus for historians: a 60-item bibliography. From cover to cover, an energetic story, carefully researched and cleverly told.

Morcos Jonathan's Journey is an incredibly well-researched book. But the story is so enthralling you don't notice the research until you get to the end of the book and read the list of references that Roger Paulding used to create this captivating tale of Colonial times in America and England. It was a great read, especially if you like historical fiction.
