I learned from this book and was able to apply the new information to solving problems. A must have for the MCAT. I bought the general chemistry review from Sterling and like it as much. Both books are excellent. Much more content - and presented in a more clear fashion - than some of the other prep books (some of which I bought used and ignored them when I started to compare the content to this book) but still clear and easy to understand the learning points.

The material follows the same outline as AAMC. Clear overview of the major concepts with sufficient and relevant details of the topics. I learned much more biology and biochemistry from studying this book. Great to have all the important concepts in one book. Much more detailed than other prep books I previewed before buying this. This book refreshed my memory, clarified some confusion from my college class and added many new details to my overall understanding.

Easy to understand the concepts presented in the book. I compared the table of contents to the AAMC guide and its a match. I have learned material that I applied to answering practice questions. Nice to have a complete review of the biology and biochemistry topics for the MCAT. Before I bought the book I referred to my undergraduate text and this review book made the process of refreshing/learning concepts so much more time efficient. Book is detailed but not boring because it is well written and the material flows in the chapters. I like that the concepts are subdivided into those that are tested on the MCAT.
