By Amazon Customer I wasn't a very big fan of Lisa's after reading the second book, but I tried to keep an open mind as I went into this book. I was happy to get a better look into what makes her character tick. Hearing more about her back story really helped to understand her. The Devlyn Caracus story has always kind of interested me so I was glad to get a little more story on him.I really liked Ryan's character from the beginning. The only part that I didn't like was how he seemed to only see the limitations that his son had. That being said, I could tell that he was an amazing dad and doing the best with the hand his crappy ex-wife had dealt him.My biggest complaint about this book was that it seemed a little on the short side to me. I was able to read it in a little over half a day. I feel like there are parts of the story that could have used a little more meat, like Ryan's ex-wife showing up. I know she wasn't the focus of the issue in the book but I would have liked to see more of her with Jesse.

She’s a traveling physical therapist and her current patient is a young boy that just so happens to have a ruggedly handsome single father. Fighting her ever present feelings for the brash cowboy and having to deal with demons of the past it doesn’t get any easier. Do they try to have a relationship? I will admit I was skeptical since I really did not like Lisa at all in the first book, but in true Bonnie style she not only redeemed Lisa but made me love her. Oh Ryan who could not love a man who does so much for his child. What an amazing story with not only romance but some crazy twist and turns. I love the depth of these characters. You truly feel you know them and feel so much for them. I can not wait for Mary's story and hopefully get to meet Jennie. If you want an amazing read with a hot but very humble cowboy this is the story for you.
