By Donald Hunt Ft Worth Texas, Luke Short and his partner James Johnsonown The White Elephant Saloon, and Poker Palace.They are being pressured by Jim Courtright and his partnerCharley Bull, to pay protection money, or else.Clint Adams, The Gunsmith, rides into town to help his friend,with this bit of trouble.Very soon there after, the third member of the "group", Bat Mastersonalso comes into to aid Luke Short.Hearing this, Jim Courtright calls out Short, for a gun fight, and......No, I am not going to go any further into the story, as you will have toread the book, to find out the rest.But, there are many more tales to be heard, and a BIG POKER game,along with the finale.The Gunsmith series, is now well into the 60+ book range, and I hopeit will have a very long run, as the Western genre is kind of thin.I hope to see you all down the trail.

J R Roberts is fast becoming my favorite writer of westerns right behind Louis L'Amour. But you have to realize I am not a critic when it comes to westerns, I like them all.
