It made me look at a few areas of my life I didn't think about before in terms of causing my anxiety. Chapter 6 - '14 effective ways to reduce stress & anxiety' - was also extremely beneficial. 5 stars.

I suffer from anxiety myself and have high stress levels, so I found it a welcome read. It is hereditary in my family, but by reading this I realised there were a few things I could change to help relieve my stress and anxiety and help me better my everyday life. Exercise is a big one which I'm sure all of us can agree we hate. But I know the benefits more now and will try harder. Meditation has helped me in the past, so I'll focus more on it now after the friendly reminder of its usefulness in this book.All in all, I was quite please with this book, it was written and structured very nicely, but it also helped me understand my anxiety more, and learn to ways of coping with it. Definitely worth the few dollars for anyone wanting a bit of help with their anxiety and stress!

At the age of 3, her family sold her to a band of traveling gypsies. Forced to become a bareback rider in the circus, she spent her younger years traveling the country, living out of suitcases and selling macrame keychains on the side. At the age of 16 she became a professional yodeler but, after winning the international yodeling competition in Switzerland at 19, decided to retire at the height of her career. Now, she and her husband (an organic rutabaga farmer from Wales) live in an isolated cabin in eastern Kentucky where they play with a local mariachi band every Friday night, are involved with a murder mystery dinner theater club, and enjoy making origami owls.

By Angela Bailey-Davis I am a creature of habit, when I find an author that I truly love I will read anything and everything they write. Mrs. Patrick-Howard is one of my favorites and this third book in the Taryn's Camera series did not disappoint in any way. Her characters are rich, her story lines are enticing and as a reader these combine to make for a lovely journey though a small southern town. I find I can see and hear her characters in my own minds eye and that by this the 3rd installment they are well loved old friends.Don't miss this latest book in the series, you will love it as I did!

The Taryn Camera series as paranormal fiction along with her special (and way cool) gadget/friend Ms.Dixie the camera is what caught my interest and fortunately, the books always have a good storyline to boot. I read through the the updated version of the third installment of the series and this is definitely a cliffhanger. The book was inspired by true to life circumstances, employing multidimensional characters that give you a surprise or two as they are mixed in the plot, then later seeing through their personalities and motives as you read on and they continue to unfold, with their truth languidly revealed. Liked it a lot, and of course I'm a big fan of Rebecca Patrick-Howard's impeccable writing. And she does get better and better at it, with undoubtedly gratifying resolutions and insights in the end chapters.I enjoyed it and got immensely entertained. The movies in my mind just keep on getting tickled and reeled in as I read through every chapter. Please continue to churn up good stories Ms. Rebecca Patrick-Howard :-) Love it, it's reading time well spent!

We see her talent grow and her interest and desire along with her fear of that is realistic. I recommend her books highly.

Ms Kage in her storytelling majesty gives us airplane flying, cigar smoking, potty mouth BJ Gilmore and couples her with too good for his britches not to mention too sexy for his shirt widower Grady Rawlings and then she let's the games begin. And begin they do as she throws us into this incomparable tale with her Texas drawl dialogue that flows throughout the novel and throwing in some hard living, hard talking scenes that pop from the pages into our mind as she paints her words into pictures we can actually visualize.Her characters are all so important to her story and they all lend a hand in the telling of the tale from the one liner all the way to the stars and supporting cast of players. Her hero, Grady and heroine, BJ outshine the rest as she takes us through the trials and tribulations of their romance. Her readers will cry with them, laugh with them and pull for them as they stumble their inept way to their most deserved happy ever after. The romance is funny and sad, it's heartwrenching and heartwarming and her audience will feel then entire spectrum of emotions right along with her characters. Her love scenes are very physical, visceral and descriptive and yet we see and feel the longing of the couple and the love that evolves.So brace yourselves for one wild ride with this exceptional debut novel by a name that you will soon be I'm sure hearing a lot more of. I could only choke down a couple of chapters till I just couldn't waste any more of my time. I've read many of Linda Kage's books which I have loved but this one is worthless. The male char is gloomy which yes he should be since his wife died but he was really depressing. The female char made me so mad I just felt like I wanted her char to die off in a horrible accident!! He didn't want her and she just kept pushing and pushing, butting into his business and putting her hands all over him when he was trying to get away from her... WTH!!! The female char is suppose to be a "tomboy".. Not! she was a low class (we are talking about garbage here!), rude, uncaring (oh! she felt bad AFTER she basically screws with him mentally and gets him so worked up he screws her) gutter trash! From what I read on the book description she is going to end up pregnant with his baby from this. Man! that was it for me.. yeah he starts heating up for her but nope! just couldn't read any further.. that a nice guy would end up with something like that piece of trash nope! I think what pissed me off so much was that she messed with him so much mentally and kept trying to get in his business when he was trying to get AWAY from her. He was sad his wife and child died and she used that against him (even though she was nothing to him)... so yeah the female char is a piece of garbage and I wish she got knocked off in the first chapter!!

After reading her other story about this family, I literally couldn’t wait to find out more. Finding ‘The Trouble with Tomboys’ was much more than what I thought it would be. The dialogue and character development is strong and moves the story along very well.Considering that I read the follow up (A Fallow Heart) to this story first, I was very, very curious how Kage made it work. I'll tell ya how - she's a good storyteller. Before I go on, this is not a series – not that I could find evidence of anyway – and can be read independently of each other. Now back to the good stuff.Raised in a house full of men, pilot B.J. Gilmore is the tomboy of Tommy Creek but that’s all good because she knows it and she’s fine with it. Grady Rawlings is the oldest son of the richest man in town and still works for the family business - he’s a good son and he’s a good worker. On one of his overnight business trips to Houston, Grady hires B.J.’s company to fly him there.While in Houston, B.J. and Grady both drink a little too much at dinner. Oh geez, this doesn’t bode well for B.J. because she’s already spent too much time in the presence of her childhood and adulthood crush and she just can’t stand that he’s so unhappy. So what can a girl who’s always been crazy for the boy do? Help get him out of his funk of course. She’s already fed him, so that leaves just one more thing to do. I felt bad - for like a nano-second - for the brooding Grady because he couldn’t see B.J. as anything other than the tomboy that the town had relegated her to be.I can’t say enough how much I liked this story, not as much as A Fallow Heart, but it was close. B.J. was a great character. She’s got spunk, heart, intelligence, humor, and self-confidence which made for a delightful read. Although she’s clearly been around way too many men, she’s still got some feminine traits about her – there’s a scene when she’s trying to ‘girl up her wardrobe’ with some sexy lingerie for her man...the ensuing chase was awesome.A good portrayal of being manly without sacrificing your caring side, Grady got a gentle soul and a forgiving heart and is absolutely perfect for B.J. After losing his wife a few years back, he’s been in a deep depression and folks are still walking around on eggshells because he carries his grief like a cloak. But as fate would have it, B.J. is perfect for him because she would not let him feel sorry for himself and as a healing balm B.J.'s was so seemingly self assured, Grady could speak of his dead wife without repercussions. Of all, that was probably my favorite thing about their story. B.J. never denied Grady his right to have memories of this first wife nor dissuade him from speaking of her. This story reminds us that when given a second chance, grab it, hold on and don't let go because it might the best thing you never thought could happen to you.I highly recommend this if you like your heroine funny yet strong and your hero strong with a heart full of gold. It appears to be a new book, and the parts that are there are informative, but pages 115 through 127 are missing! They are not torn out, they are just missing. It's like the book was bound and put together without that section. I contacted the seller, who continues to advertise the book as "new" and in "perfect condition" and asked them to check their stock to see if they had a book that included all the pages, but they refused and blew me off, so now I'm not sure what to do. I think I will try to purchase another copy from a different book seller and hope for better results. Other than the missing pages, the book is just what I was looking for. The recipes are easy to follow and the resulting salve seems to have the pain relieving qualities I was looking for. I look forward to trying more of the recipes.

Beautiful photography, the "Quick Start" recipes are exactly that, and some hard-to-find ingredients have been replaced with ones that are easier to find while keeping the same quality of the finished recipe. The Cannabis Spa at Home blends Martha Stewart classiness with the feeling of a trusted friend guiding you in the kitchen. You'll like knowing exactly what's in that balm, salve, lotion, soak, or smoothie, because you made it yourself!

It has helped me develop and learn about the topical applications I am interested in creating and more about herbs that pair well with cannabis. This book is like the Joy of Cooking in that one recipe builds on another and you can cross reference different recipes to make something that suits exactly what you want. I have much more to learn and am looking forward to it.

5 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Are you effing serious? By babychild2 Besides the fact that this book is in 2 seperate parts (and not 2 stand alone books)... I'm irked. Take a full length novel... Chop 3/4 of it away, and this is what you have. I have no idea how this story ends, I refuse to buy the ending. The story is unrealistic, has barely any chemistry of characters and lack of details to piss me off. I know I'm a stickler for books that are believable, but let's not kid ourselves on this one. #1 There is no mention why two "professional MMA fighters" are going to college, especially when one is 25 years old and still working on his bachelors. #2 Then we have the fact that the two main characters have sex the fourth time they are together in the book (the author makes her seem like a dumb foodie that has her legs open a bunch) . The previous times the characters are together have no chemistry and was so quickly written that it was barely a flirt. #3 My biggest pet peeve, is that the MMA ring does not have ropes like boxing. It's a cage. In the book immediately after a fight the fighter pulls out a case of beer "between the ropes" and then screws on the fighting mat? Why would any MMA arena be empty just after a fight that you could have sex without anybody watching? #4 Natasha loans her dorm room apartment (which she shares with other girls) to her BFF who is a professor so she can have a party in her dorm room with her English department? Come on! Can somebody please proofread this to make sense. Faculty would never have a party till 4am in a dorm room. There is no chemistry, it was written way too quickly barely a short story that somebody wants me to pay more money to finish. I'm done, I'm not going to waste anymore time.

It was a super fast read with a lot of characterization and a super hot romance. I was left needing WAY more! WHERE IS PART TWO?Tasha was an okay protagonist. She was relateable and her actions are very believable. However, she is definitely the most boring character in comparison to the other fantastic characters this book has. Luke was so hot and gentle and sweet and funny and he was a perfect choice for a love interest. Cameron was so sassy and clever and definitely brought some hilarious comic relief. I love the unique relationship with this English teacher and a young 21 year old Tasha. It's fairly rare and I liked that sort of big sister dynamic between them. I would like to see more of them together! The writing was good. It was humorous when it needed to be, I loved the little pop culture references with FMA, and all of the great innuendos. Spent reads very easily and smoothly. The descriptions are really and vivid, whether did be a boxing match, a saucy scene, or even Twizzlers. It was fantastic.The story itself was simple but interesting enough. I like the University setting and all the scenes with the fighting matches.The romance was so steamy and great. I love the contrast between Luke's love scenes and Derricks. I love how one can definitely see how conditioned Tasha is to being abused and neglected and now happy she is to have Luke. I need more please!

Any guy should read books like this if he wants to improve his women's sex lives, thereby improving his own. I enjoyed this book much more than 50 Shades of Gray, simply because the dialogue was much better.Anyway, for me: pick up this book and read it like you're doing research. I also recommend the Sex God Method for a nonfiction version of books like this.

18 of 18 people found the following review helpful. 3.8 solid stsrs By Reba Kirsten Proby is one of my favorite authors, I have read and 're-read all of her With Me In Seattle series. I liked this story, I found all the characters were good, the concept of the story was good, the chemistry between Eli and Kate great, side characters very good. So... why not 4 or 5 stars?? I felt like some of the story was rushed, I don't like how the HEA was completed in just a few pages, I didn't like how we found out who wad embezzling money plus other things but then nothing more on that, which was what brought Kate to New Orleans in the first place, and I especially didn't like how the epilogue was about Rhys to only turn the page and the next book out isn't even about him. What??? Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the epilogue be about continued story of main characters or leading us to the next story? I liked this book it had great footsteps to follow in so maybe I'm being a little harsh but dammit The With Me In Seattle series is hard to match it is perfect reading...so with this series I will have to see if I continue on, the price is a little high for under 300 pages and with not being 4 or 5 star book, I will play it by ear to see if I follow this series or not....

It was a fun, easy read and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.However, there were a few things that stood out to me which made me give this book only 3 stars... *SPOILER ALERT* Story inconsistencies are very annoying to me. When Kate first spoke of her ex-husband, she mentioned that he had gotten re-married one week after their divorce, which was why he finally granted it; however, at the end of the book, it says he's been in jail for a while - which is it? Also, I didn't understand how Kate had never met her two BFF's brother Eli before, although she had met everyone else in the family - nor did she attend the funeral of their father. And the fact that both she and her best friend were in abusive marriages that seemed a bit too similar.

It felt repetitious and I got impatient waiting for Eli and Kate to grow up and actually have a conversation, not just hot sex. Kate is described as a really sharp professional yet comes across as a ditz who can't keep her mind on her work, never mind solve the big mystery. Eli is described as a workaholic shark, a brilliant businessman who uses women, but we're never shown the brilliance. The two of them spend a lot of time together in the French Quarter, despite it being within walking distance to work, Kate being undercover and it not being general knowledge that she has any relationship to the family. Drunkenness is presented as cute and funny when it is not, especially since it contributes to the presentation of Kate as an idiot. Eli is stuck on getting Kate to swear in bed because that's so sexy. It isn't a horrible book, but the author seemed to lose track of the characterizations and instead of character development, we get the same sex scenes repeated with no growth in the characters. I was skimming pages just to get through them. And the ending? Kate makes mistake after mistake after mistake and gets herself in serious trouble. Gee, couldn't see that coming.

Her historical novels have won numerous awards, including the Carol Award, the Will Rogers Medallion for Western Fiction, and the Inspirational Readers’ Choice Contest.
