For a moment, Jamie held the world, even though it wasn’t his to hold…
Jamie has spent his entire life playing the good twin. Now, he’s the one standing out after signing with Guillotine Records. Two years of being on his own in California hasn’t lessened his desire for the man who made it happen. Too bad that man belongs to one of Jamie’s oldest friends.
Fate is about to hand him an unexpected chance.
After losing everything, Hawke needs a break from reality. Too many lies and heartaches have left him with nothing except nightmares he can’t escape. Seeing Jamie again reminds him of a different time—one where Jamie made him feel a spark of something pure.
Can Jamie undo the years of damage caused by his so-called friend?
In the face of everything Maddox has done to Hawke, Jamie can’t let this chance pass him by. No friendship in the world is strong enough to overlook the pain Maddox has caused. Jamie can’t think of a thing he’d rather do than pick up the pieces of Hawke’s life, but will Hawke let him?
Sometimes the most beautiful relationships spring from the most broken places.

I laughed, I cried, I rolled my eyes (seriously Maddox? WTF ugh!)I see some people are upset with the direction the author took this book, but not me. I said in my review of Book 2, I was on team Jamie. I wanted Hawke and Jamie together! And I patiently (well not really patiently) waited til midnight when the book downloaded to my kindle to see if I'd get it. Luck was on my side, or was it on Hawke's side. Because in my opinion, Jamie is the right man for Hawke. I believe that with all my heart. I am not going to defend my position on this nor am I going to bash anyone who disagrees. I just want to say I was into Maddox in the last book, I really was. I do believe he loves Hawke, in his own way. However, the dinner party scene with Hawke's family in that book was really the turning point for me. That was when I started feeling a real connection between Hawke and Jamie. A connection Hawke didn't have with Maddox. Yes, he had feelings for him but even then, I believed it was more obsession than real love. Now I see Book 4 is Joss' book. And I'm anxious for that one. But please, please tell me we're going to get more Hawke and Jamie. I have an itch and I need my fix, please Charity! There was a couple editing issues in the beginning of the book. The wrong character names used (Jamie instead of Hawke, if my memory is correct) but other than that all was well. Loved the book, love the series!*It's important to this story to read (at least) Book 2 in this series first. But you do get some Hawke/Maddox story line in Book 1 also.

I was all set to read the previous book and I have this weird habit that I've done since I was a little girl -- I read the last page or two of a book (except mysteries obviously) to make sure it has a good ending, before I read the book, so I was curious what Jamie's story was going to be, so I read the description of this book and I'm so glad I did before I became emotionally invested in Maddox and Hawke. I hate, hate, hate authors who destroy their own happy endings. If you can't come up with plots without destroying couples you'very already put together then you shouldn't but writing romance. This was author is going on my never read list and I'm frankly shocked that no one else seems to have a problem with her wasting their time reading about Maddox and Hawke only to destroy their relationship -- if she wanted Jamie and Hawke together, she should have put them together in the first place.

And in a quite inventive way, too. The reader should have read the previous book to be able fully to appreciate this one.Hawke has been in a destructive relationship with Maddox for a while. Hawke is the kind of man that makes everybody love him. He is so "clever" in giving people what they need, never demanding anything for himself. Hawke is easy to get attached to. It is probably why Maddox can never let go, even if he neither can stay faithful. Strangely enough I pity Maddox, because he had something potentially beautiful and still let it slip away when a temptation arose.Jamie got the opportunity to get out into the (rock) world thanks to Hawke. Hawke was the man he has loved for ages, but the one not his to pursue. Until Hawke came to visit. There has been a development Jaime had not known about. One that made it possible for Jamie to snatch Hawke away and bring him on Jamie's tour to Europe. Gretna Green was an important part of it (google it, if you do not know what it's about).I liked the way the author let the twins to look out for each other. Joss has done his, will Jamie help so Joss get his? I hope the author will solve it in a satisfactory manner, too.Half star off, because it was too short after all.
